We all love having little Lena on board to receive one of our ABA programmes and she really enjoys a whole range of activities including play-dough and blowing bubbles. One of her favourite things is to request her tutor to sing to her. Her tutor uses this motivational activity to encourage those all essential early communication skills such as eye contact and pointing when expressing needs. During vocal play, targeted sounds are matched to specific activities and Lena is encouraged to repeat the target sound the tutor is making during the activity. Lena has just started to attempt some whole words associated with getting more of a favoured activity. Keep up the good work Lena!
