A HUGE thank you from all of us at The Playhouse Foundation for the generosity of the Co-op Local Community Fund where customers have raised a staggering £2,801.87!
As a Hampshire based charity, we offer educational home programmes to help develop functional daily living, communication and social interaction in young children with autism. The children whom we support often have very complex needs, which invariably require a collaborative approach with other professionals in the local community, including the staff at preschool.
Your donation will be spent on supporting our newest family, based in Otterbourne who have little Lena aged 3 who was recently diagnosed with autism. Lena will now be able to have the one to one specialist support within her pre-school to assist her with developing and generalising the skills from her home programme into the preschool environment.
Studies show that early intervention is essential for children with autism and thanks to the Co-op Community Fund, your donation will enable Lena to receive the appropriate provision to best meet her needs!
